PressBox spotlights some of the top players in the Nationals' minor league system during the past week.

Eury Perez, Center Fielder, Triple-A Syracuse

Perez has been one of the hottest players for the Chiefs. During a six-game stretch from July 22-27, Perez batted .400 and had three multi-hit games, including a three-for-four performance July 26 during a 3-4 loss to the Gwinnet Braves. Perez is batting .256 during 33 games for the Chiefs.

Reynaldo Lopez, Pitcher, Single-A Hagerstown

In his third start for the Suns after being called up from the short-season Class-A Auburn Doubledays, Lopez earned his first Suns win, pitching six shutout innings July 28 against the Grenville Drive. He gave up two hits and struck out nine during the victory. The 20-year-old Lopez is 1-1 with a 3.95 ERA as a member of the Suns.
