The Fan Fest will be held July 12, and the team will hold a public scrimmage at 10 a.m. the same day. The development camp, which also is open to the public, will run from July 7-12 at the team's Arlington, Va., practice facility. A more detailed schedule of practice times will be released later

During the Fan Fest, attendees will be able to take part in the team's annual equipment sale, an open skate, and autograph sessions with Capitals players and coaches. According to The Washington Post, which quoted a team spokesman, the team's Capitals Convention will not be held this season as Washington ramps up to host the Winter Classic.
